Oh what a beautiful morning....
Seriously, the sun is out here in New England and it's a beautiful day. Mind you, it's cold, very very cold, but it's New England. It's supposed to be cold in New England in January.
So I decided to brave the frigid temps and go shopping today cause it's supposed to snow tomorrow, but, avast, my plans were foiled because my car battery is dead. My lovely neighbor came out to help me, but we couldn't get the poor car to start running. Now I'm waiting for Triple-A to come bring me a new battery.
It's funny how things work out because to be honest, I didn't really want to go out in the cold today at all. I do love New England, but I really hate going outside when the temp is below freezing. (Yes, I am a wuss)
So what does that have to do with the price of tea in China when the lion on the savannah decides to lick it's paw? Well, it's the Law of Attraction. I did NOT want to go out in the cold and I have been putting off going to the store for a few days because of it. Because I was thinking about it and really feeling that I would just do it tomorrow, when I finally did get around to it, of course, it couldn't happen because the universe knew that I wanted to stay home.
I know I sound like a complete and utter nutter, but seriously. Have you ever been thinking or worrying about something so much that eventually it happens and you find yourself saying "I knew it!" Or have you ever had a time when you were so focused on something, something really good that you really wanted and made you feel good and then poof, it's yours? That's the Law of Attraction too.
We attract what we are think and feel.
I guess that means that today I should start thinking and feeling the weather to warm up a bit and the car to be fixed by simply a new battery.
Just like the title, this blog is about the adventures of a curly girl who works from home and loves cats.

Excuse me!
It's cold and it's early and I'm working in my pajamas. Life just doesn't get any better than this.
So what am I working on today. Well, goal setting if you must know. The setting of the goals of things I want to accomplish in the now and the future. Every so often I sit down and write them out because I've found that if I do that, they happen.
Now I've found that the most effective way to achieve said goals is to write them down as if they have already happened. I know that sounds a bit crazy, but for some reason it works.
I started using this technique after reading "Excuse me, your life is NOW" by Doreen Banaszak . She states in the book that to really create and use the Law of Attraction live, you must treat your goals as if they are already happening now or that they happened in the past. If you treat them as if they are in the future, then they will always stay in the future and will never happen.
When I first read that, I thought it was an interesting concept and worth trying at least for a little while. I won't go into details here, but my results have been astonishing so far.
I'm not done creating either which is why the majority of my day will be spent writing out my goals and a script for said goals as if they already happened. It's going to be fun!

In the Immortal Words of James Brown...
"I Feel Good...na-na-na-na-na-na-na"....

Have you ever gotten up in the morning and just felt good? Like really good? Like you could take on the world? I feel like that today. I woke up in the most amazing mood and as I sit here writing this blog, I want to take on the world. It's awesome!
I've started reading again now that I am back to working full-time at home with no distractions. Now, when I read, I usually dive into a topic a full speed and this week has been no exception.
This week's topic: The Law of Attraction
Have you ever heard of it? Maybe you've heard of "The Secret", or "Think and Grow Rich". I bet you've heard of both of them. They are two really good books about the Law of Attraction. Of course, there are heaps of other books out there about the Law of Attraction, but these two are a good place to start.
See, just over a year ago when I found myself unemployed, I wanted to understand how I could have been thinking about and afraid of getting fired and then I got fired. I was a good employee, but I was afraid all the time of something bad happening like getting written up and/or fired. A few months later, my worst fears were realized and I was fired.
So what does the Law of Attraction have to do with getting fired? Well, the Law of Attraction states that 'thoughts become things'. If you think good thoughts, you attract good things. If you think bad thoughts, you attract bad things. Sounds so simple, huh?
It is a simple concept to understand. Any thing you want (or don't want) has been brought to you from the thoughts (and feelings) you've been having. I know this first hand because when I've been feeling lousy or worrying about something, I've just gotten more of that thing I've been worried about (like bills, lack of money, illness, or getting fired.) When I've been riding high on a sea of positive happy emotions and thoughts, my life has been a breeze! I have enough money, I feel good and everything works out.
See, ever since I got fired last year, I've been researching and doing my own experiments with the Law of Attraction since I first heard about it in
"The Secret". I'm still learning how to use the Law of Attraction to get what I want. Slowly and over time, I've seen my life change for the better, I am thankful for everything I have today, and I know without a doubt that I will have everything that my heart desires in the future.
I guess that's why I am in the mood I am in today. I've started reading again and mindfully with great intent, putting the Law of Attraction into practice.
If you'd like to learn more about the Law of Attraction, I recommend these books. They are my favorites. In fact, I'm reading "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" right now.
