Oh No!

Oh No!

I was talking to my best friend this morning while sitting in my kitchen when I noticed a little white critter, running around outside near the fence.  I was like, "What the hell!  I think there is a ferret in my backyard."

My best friend says, "Beware. It might be a weasel."

I said, "No, this thing is too small to be a weasel and from my understanding, weasels are not white."

She replies with, "Well you just never know. It's probably a weasel."

So...while we're on the phone, I go out to my backyard and start to approach the little creature.  Now, this is Massachusetts and you never know what you are going to see outside.  We seriously have more crazy wildlife than an ACDC concert.

Anyway...I start walking up very slowly to the poor thing and once it saw me, it freaked out and ran towards the woods.  I was like great!  This little baby ferret is going to run into the woods and probably never be seen again.  Of course, it ended up running smack dab into the fence which was good for the life of the ferret, but probably didn't feel so good on impact.

Then he turns around and looks at me with the expression of  "What the hell?  Who are you? I'm on a ferret adventure, but I'm a bit scared."

I waited for a few moments for the frightened little guy to figure out that I wasn't going to attack him and roast him for dinner. Eventually, he realized that I was a friend not an enemy so he came right up to me and let me pick him up. He's the cutest little thing and really tame. It also confirmed for me that he's definitely someone's pet.

I put him upstairs in my bedroom and just check on him a little while ago.  I think I've become his best friend now because he came right up to me and started sniffing my feet and making little happy ferret noises.  I should probably feed him at some point, but what in the hell do ferrets eat?  Hmm....I need to call the ferret man in RI and find out.

I guess at some point today I'm going to have to go knocking on doors in 'Peyton Place' (what I am now affectionately calling my condo complex)  and find who this little guy belongs to.

He's a lovey little bugger too.  And...he likes feet!  :)  I almost wish I could keep him!

Aren't I the cutest little thing?  I need to find my family!

I LIKE FEET!!
