So I'm here at home working like I do most days. Ever since I was fired from the lab (I call it being freed from slavery) last October, this has become my new way of life...I'm home and I'm working. What a blessing!
Of course it's not been without it's up and downs. I had all this passion and energy at the start of the year, but then I just lost it back in March when the reality of my unemployment benefits hit me. (For those of you that don't know what's going on with unemployment, check it out....many millions of people have lost their benefits and are now losing everything as a result of the baloney the federal government is pulling in Washington. Thankfully, I am not one of them.) I am not sure why this affected me so much, but it did.
Anyway...as of this week, my state unemployment benefits have ended. I have yet to return to the lab or any other sort of 'regular' job. I should be freaking out, but I'm not. By all means, I am still considered 'unemployed' by the majority, but I'm really not. I'm here in my house and I am working. I have my own business. I just set up a website for said business and was chatting with a few teammates. I will be writing out my next 30 day plan and gearing up to put it into action. I look forward to tomorrow and the next day and the next day because I no longer have to commute or deal with co-workers and bosses I dislike.
It's a beautiful scary life, but it's mine and I love!
So....my new website is tobicamilli.com. It's brand new and I'm still trying to figure it out. I also have a new blog on here, Liveyourlifeoutloud.blogspot.com that's geared towards my business.
And that's what's been going on. I'm still in the Boston area for the time being, but am planning to move to North Carolina sometime this summer.
Everyone be happy :)
