No More Sh**heads

Ahh...it's on days like this that I am happy I work for myself in the comfort of my own home.  I woke up today not feeling very good.  I'm not sick or anything.  I just don't feel good.  I am tired, crabby and just want to curl up on my couch under a blanket and watch movies.

Of course, I haven't done that YET, but I will migrate to the couch soon and maybe even take a nap once I get a few of my daily work tasks out of the way.

So why do I love working from home so much and even more so on days like today?  Well, I don't have to call in to a shitty boss.  I don't have to 'be excused' and then deal with the consequences of that.  I used to have this one boss who used to punish me if I ever called out sick.  I'm not kidding! She used to assign me all sorts of crappy tasks, piling it on higher and higher, on the day I returned to work after calling out.  I hated that so much.  No one should be punished for calling out sick.

Also, I can work when I want.  I don't have to spend 8 hours sitting at my desk or bench, doing menial tasks and/or trying to look busy when I was finished with such tasks. It's lovely.  Now when finish something, I move on or take a break or eat something or take a shower.  I get to choose. If I am not feeling well, I can take time off to rest.

I get to be creative.  This has got to be my favorite about working from home.  I can choose what to promote and how to promote it.  I love making images to use for my campaigns. I love making videos.  I love being creative.

I also get to choose who I deal with on a daily basis.  Remember that shitty boss I mentioned before?  Well, I didn't really like her or my co-workers for that matter.  They were all shitty people with even shittier attitudes and work ethics. I used to have to spend 8 hours a day with those shitheads, pretending that I cared and actually liked them.  Little did they know, I hated them and I was happy when they fired me. Now, I get to work with people that I like and admire.  People who have good hearts and are always trying to help each other out.  It's awesome!  I am no longer surrounded by shitheads.

Working from home for yourself rocks...especially on days when you just aren't feeling that great.

Or message me. I love helping people escape the shitheads that seem to be everywhere in traditional jobs.

What Day is It Again?

Does anybody know what day it is?

Ha ha ...I couldn't resist!

SO it's Wednesday.  I used to love Wednesdays because it meant that my work week was half over and I could look forward to the two best days of the week: The Weekend.

Now that I work from home, the weekends are just another part of the week. In fact, I don't really like to go out on weekends because that's when traffic is the worst and all the shops are crowded. Usually I spend my weekends cleaning and hanging around my house.  Sometimes I do research for my work.  Other times I spend the day cooking and watching movies.  I swear, they are the best weekends!

Many of my friends find that strange, but I don't. I work from home. For me, it's normal.

Granted, working from home has its' own challenges like staying motivated and focused, but I used to struggle with that in my normal job too.  The difference now is that I don't have a boss breathing down my neck and reminding me everyday that I am doing something wrong.

Today I am thankful that I am able to make enough money from the comfort of my home.  I am thankful for the internet and for all the people I have met along the way who have helped and supported my dream of working from home.  I'm thankful that I am my own boss.  Gosh darn it, I'm thankful for it all!

And for Wednesday too as a reminder of what my life used to be like: Working for the weekend.
