I just wanted to stay in bed today

Have you ever woke up in the morning, taken a deep breath and gone, "Damn, I do not want to get out of this bed for anything today. I wish I could lie here all day, read a book and ignore the world, but I have to pee."

Yeah, me too. Today was one of those mornings. I did, however, get up, pee and make coffee. Since my body is acting out with PMS in the worst way, I decided to ignore it, put my best foot forward to do something productive.

First thing on my list was the packages from the previous blog. Yes, I was going to resend the one and figured, send the second one too. I figured it shouldn't take me long online to reprint the labels and the customs forms. I got them both ready to go which made me super happy, until I discovered that my printer cord was missing. WTF! I looked high and low for it, but to no avail. I guess it went on holiday.

My friend across the street let me borrow her printer and all inconvenience was avoided. I came home, taped the packages, tried to put the labels and customs crap on with an openable envelope from the post office and went about my merry way. Of course, that was, until I got to the post office.

Now I don't know what their 'deal' is, but why is it when you do the postage at home online and with your own printer, they look at your like your head is screwed on backwards? AND why is it that printing up the customs forms online at home is such a taboo? Seriously! If they didn't want us to do it that why, WHY do they have the bloody forms online at all? They have the specific ones for FPO/APO addresses and it's so lovely to do it that way. No hassle. No waiting in line really.

Well, whatever....So I get to the post office and of course, there is a problem. I am not using the 'correct' paperwork holder. I used a priority envelope because it was free and thought it would suffice. Boy, was I WRONG to do that.

That envelope did nothing but annoy the post master. She was like "You know you can order these other ones online and use them instead. OH and you need to have TWO of them on each package" Well, thank you for telling me that, sister mary sunshine and may I please have a few of them so I don't have to inconvenience YOU with my lack of proper paperwork holders. She looked at me with disdain at that point. Jeez...it's not like my taxes don't pay her salary.

She chided me for using the other envelopes that cost FOUR dollars. WTF! Grrr...well whatever....I got the packages sent and on their merry way. They will get there this time because I blessed them myself.

On a happier note, things are going well this week. Granted, I haven't lost any weight, but I am PMS and due any day now, so I am just dealing with that. I've started on a new quilt for my bedroom. I swear, there is something about sewing that just puts it all together for me. The feel of the fabric, the colours of the prints and what not, the pattern and the rest of it are just a joy for me. Yesterday, I got 2 of the minor blocks put together. I sat back at one point and admired the way the colours blend and contrast. I can't wait until I get the rest of the blocks done and can finish it.

Anyway....I guess I should get to working on that quilt. I really just wanna nap (freaking stupid PMS!!)
