But it is....
I went to the gym the other day and was greeted by my trainer with the "Where in the hell have you been? I thought we were going to work on your weight lifting program?" I told her the story of where I have been and what I was doing and she said "I missed you and what have you been doing to lose weight?"
Me? Lose weight? In the tundra? You must be joking.
It's true though. Somehow I've managed to drop nearly a dress size and I don't know how that happened exactly. After my gym date, I came home and started to try on bras and pants that I couldn't fit into before I left for Alaska. Wouldn't you know it...some of them fit me and were loose! Hallelujah! I ate completely bad when I was in Alaska. Seriously. I made pizza 2x a week. I baked more cupcakes and brownies than I care to remember. I also would buy myself a bag of chips weekly and eat those on my day off.
For some reason, I find this funny.
Eat crap=lose weight.
Now I'm home and I'm toying with the idea of going back on my other eating WOL because I feel better on it. Do I go for it or not? I think I more than likely will, but not until after my birthday next week because I want to eat cake on my birthday. I love cake. Who doesn't, right?
Another thing that has been striking me as funny these days is the happy anniversary messages I keep getting in my email.
See, about three years ago, I went to AA and somehow managed to get on this list. I have no idea where the list is now, but I know I am on it because people from all over the world keep emailing me to tell me 'happy anniversary being sober'.
Every time I get one of these messages I just have to chuckle because I gave up AA about 3 months after starting. I know the program has worked for alot of people, but it didn't for me.
I know, it shouldn't be funny, but it is. Happy sober anniversary as I'm sipping on a glass of wine.
that's all I got for tonight....it's funny and I don't know why.
I found this fun blog and I thought it might be something you'd like. http://labrat.fieldofscience.com/2010/10/many-ways-bacteria-move.html
